Culture in Mind
Supporting recovery through culture, connection and strengths-based care.
We are excited to introduce our “Culture in Mind” program, developed in partnership with the World Wellness Group and funded by Queensland Health. This initiative offers flexible, culturally responsive non-clinical psychosocial support for Multicultural individuals and families, promoting improved mental health and wellbeing.
This is a free service that offers holistic care that promotes emotional wellbeing, social connection, and practical support—empowering people to build resilience and work toward recovery.
Eligibility – Who is CIM for?
- Adults aged 18+
- From multicultural backgrounds residing on the Gold Coast
- Living with severe and complex mental health issues
- Ready to work toward recovery goals
What CIM Offers:
We offer long-term, wraparound support that honours your cultural identity and personal journey toward wellness. Our services include:
- Practical help for everyday challenges, including access to services, community inclusion, and building life skills
- Mobile outreach and practical support through a team that comes to you
- Tiered levels of care: medium and high, based on individual needs
- Partnership with Multicultural Peer Support Workers for lived experience and cultural insight
- Recovery-focused, strengths-based approach aimed at building resilience and wellbeing
- Guided goal setting to support your unique aspirations and recovery journey
- Cultural responsiveness, respecting your values, identity, and lived experience
- Advocacy and inclusion, ensuring everyone has the right to mental health care without discrimination
How to Access CIM
Referrals can be made by anyone (Queensland Health, support services, or self-referral).
