Thread Count: Global Postponed to October 2026

MCCGC would like to advise our community that Thread Count: Global has been postponed and will now take place on Saturday, 24th October 2026.

We appreciate the enthusiasm shown by the many young people who have registered to attend. This decision was made to ensure we can deliver the best possible experience for participants, performers, partners and guests.

Created by young people, for young people, Thread Count: Global is a celebration of culture, creativity and community. The event will bring together young people aged 14 to 25 to celebrate multicultural identity, connect with others from across the Gold Coast and showcase the rich diversity of our community.

All existing registrations will remain valid for the new date, and registered attendees do not need to take any further action.

Further details regarding the venue, program and event schedule will be shared in the coming weeks.

We sincerely thank everyone for their patience, understanding and continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you on 24th October for a memorable celebration of culture, connection and belonging.
