Cultural Humility Training Workshop
In celebration of Refugee Week - A Million Stories, MCCGC was proud to host our Cultural Humility Training Workshop, bringing together participants from the health, aged care, disability and training sectors.
It was inspiring to connect with professionals who are committed to strengthening their capability, deepening their cultural humility, and enhancing the way they support and serve diverse communities.
We were also privileged to hear from our HSP Team Leader, Sadaf, who shared her personal journey as a former humanitarian entrant. Her reflections on arriving in Australia, navigating unfamiliar systems, and building a new life offered powerful insights into the lived experiences of many people from refugee and humanitarian backgrounds. Her story was a testament to resilience, determination and the vision she always held for her future.
By creating opportunities for learning, reflection and shared understanding, we can continue building more inclusive and responsive services for everyone in our community.
