Our Social English Classes: Multicultural Exchange and Connections

We held another inspiring Social English Class, welcoming 12 amazing participants from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Italy, France, Syria, Venezuela, Brazil, and Indonesia. Our program is a warm, inclusive space where participants practice English while building meaningful connections.

The first part of the class focused on getting to know each other. Our lovely participants shared where they were from and reflected on personal strengths with fun strength cards. This activity encouraged self-expression, confidence, and mutual understanding across cultures.

A highlight of the session was the active contribution of one participant, an Australian intensive care ambulance paramedic, who led an informative discussion on emergency situations, including whom to call and how the Australian ambulance system works. His participation added real-life insight and practical knowledge, empowering participants and strengthening peer learning. We finished up by handing out first-aid kits, reinforcing our program’s practical, community-focused nature.

Our Social English Classes show how powerful multicultural exchange and shared learning can be, all in a friendly, supportive environment where everyone feels at home.
