Youth Advisory Group Meeting Leadership

During our Youth Advisory Group meeting this month, we had a meaningful session led by Walters Nkemfack from Queensland Community Alliance. The focus was on leadership, advocacy, and relationship-building within the context of broad-based community organising. We explored how to build relational power for collective action through leadership development and advocacy, equipping ourselves and our organisations with useful tools.
We reflected on the importance of understanding our own self-interest, as well as the self-interest of others, and shared personal stories about why we are involved in our work. Overall, it was a great session focused on strengthening our leadership and capacity for collective action through relationship-building and understanding power dynamics.
