Women’s Social Group

We had the pleasure of hosting the Women’s Social Group at the Community Centre in Labrador. We were joined by the wonderful Paw Tha, a bilingual health educator from True (formerly Family Planning Queensland), who shared valuable insights into the range of public health services available to our community and offered guidance on navigating the Australian health system.

The session was interactive and fun, participants got creative making colourful bracelets while engaging in meaningful conversations about women's health and wellbeing. We wrapped up the event with a warm cup of tea and some lovely social time together. It was a beautiful morning of learning, connection, and creativity.

Here is some amazing feedback from our participants:

“It was a very informative session, and I appreciated the opportunity to share experiences with other participants in the group.”

“It was a great session, and I learned about services I didn’t know were available, especially those we can access through a pharmacy.”

“I enjoyed the informative session while making my bracelet and sharing morning tea. Thank you for creating this space.”

Don’t miss our next workshop.
