Successful Multicultural Employment Expo

What an incredible success our Multicultural Employment Expo was, where we bridged the gap between employers and job seekers from diverse cultural backgrounds. It was amazing seeing many people connecting, engaging with community services and exploring career options.
According to the latest report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Gold Coast's unemployment rate was 3.4% as of April 2025. This Expo aimed to lower that rate by connecting job seekers with employers.
By facilitating these connections, MCCGC helps reduce unemployment, promotes economic stability in the region, and empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential.
Thank you to our staff and Employment and Training team for making this event possible, Hermann Vorster MP and Councillor Glenn Tozer for their support, all the organisations and community services who participated as stallholders, and special thank you to our sponsors and partners, SBS. City of Gold Coast, Local Jobs Program, Queensland Government, through the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.
As well as our local sponsors, Resolve Migration, Expert Education, Nationwide Education & Human Resource Training and GC Migration.
