Ready 2 Learn is a flexible and inclusive training initiative designed to support individuals who face significant barriers to learning. This program focuses on building essential life skills, confidence, and practical capabilities to help participants thrive in everyday life and community settings.

Whether you're reconnecting with learning, navigating personal challenges, or simply looking to build foundational skills in a safe and supportive environment, Ready 2 Learn is here to help. 

Who is the program for?

This free program is open to eligible Gold Coast residents, including:

  • People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
  • Mature-age individuals seeking personal development
  • Long-term unemployed community members
  • Parents returning to work or community engagement
  • Anyone needing extra support to build confidence and essential life skills
Am I eligible?

Funded by the Queensland Government, this initiative is completely FREE for eligible participants.You may be eligible if you are:

  • An Australian or New Zealand Citizen
  • A Permanent Resident
  • A Humanitarian Visa holder
  • On a pathway to stay in Australia (including some bridging visa holders)

What will I learn?

Participants will engage in practical sessions over 6 to 8 weeks, with classes held twice a week from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, covering:

  • English & Maths for Everyday Life
    Strengthen literacy and numeracy for real-world situations.
  • Digital Literacy
    Learn how to send emails, navigate online forms, and use tools like Word and Excel.
  • Communication Skills
    Build confidence in expressing yourself clearly in social and community settings.
  • Time Management
    Learn strategies to manage your day, meet goals, and stay organised.
  • Workplace Health & Safety Awareness
    Understand your rights and responsibilities in safe environments.
  • Confidence & Life Skills Development
    Build resilience, self-esteem, and the tools to navigate life’s challenges.
  • Community Connections & Experience
    Participate in hands-on activities and connect with local networks.
