Luminous Festival Parade 2025

For the second time, Luminous in the Regions returns to the Gold Coast, and we are excited to invite communities to be part of this festival, in which we celebrate our cultural diversity. One of the key elements of this parade is that our community illuminates the sky with the spectacular handmade lanterns they crafted.

We will be hosting workshops to create these lanterns. If your community is interested in participating or presenting a cultural performance, please email our Community Development team member, Maria Camila, at camilas@mccgc.org.au. This parade fosters welcoming spaces and a sense of belonging for new Queenslanders. It promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with magnificent lanterns, live music, and performances from around the world. The event is co-organised with Multicultural Australia and supported by SBS Audio SBS Australia and the City of Gold Coast.
