Ageing Australia QLD State Conference 2025

Our CEO, Shane Klintworth, was excited to join Rachael Cook, Inclusee CEO, and Lisa Ward, ECCQ CEO, in the panel discussion "Strength in Diversity: Embedding Inclusion in Aged Care Practice" during the Ageing Australia QLD State Conference 2025.
Shane highlighted the importance of multicultural organisations advocating for multicultural seniors, as they face many challenges, including language barriers, cultural differences, and social isolation. By advocating for them, we ensure that their voices are acknowledged, their needs are addressed, and their rights are protected. This advocacy helps to improve their quality of life, provides them with necessary resources, and ensures they receive the respect and dignity they deserve.
He also emphasised how our organisation provides culturally safe services to our clients, including diversity in our workforce, cultural humility workshops, and training. His participation in this conference was very important as it highlighted our commitment to inclusive practices and allowed us to showcase our innovative approaches to the audience. By presenting our work, Shane not only reinforced our leadership in the aged care sector but also opened doors for potential collaborations with other organisations.
Additionally, our Cura Service Manager, Kat, and Accredited Practising Dietitian PhD, Fatemeh, attended the conference.
