Women’s Space Group - Stone of Many Voices

We shared a lovely Women’s Space Group where 12 women came together for our Stones of Many Voices activity, a beautiful session where participants painted rocks with affirmations written in their own mother tongues.

Each woman chose words and phrases from her native language that held personal meaning: Words of strength, hope, love and resilience. At the end of the session, participants shared the stories behind their rocks, creating a meaningful space to learn from each other’s languages, experiences and cultures.

The feedback from the day showed how powerful this activity was:

  • "Everyone is very friendly and welcoming! Will definitely come back again!”
  • "Very enjoying, we always look forward to the next group session!"
  • “Thank you for organising this activity. It was enjoyable, welcoming, and helped me connect with the community. The staff were kind and supportive, and I appreciated the friendly atmosphere. I look forward to joining future activities!”

A huge thank you to our amazing students on placement, Michele, Janine and Rachel, for designing and delivering a meaningful and thoughtful workshop, where every language was celebrated, and every voice was heard.

Activities like this show the power of social prescribing, supporting wellbeing through creativity, cultural pride and inclusive community connection. We are proud to create spaces where diversity is celebrated, and belonging grows stronger.
