We are proud to introduce another fantastic member of our organisation, Fossung Multicultural and Education Services (FMAES). FMAES is a community-focused, non-profit organisation committed to supporting multicultural communities through education and opportunities.
What is the Association of Indian Muslims Queensland's purpose?
To help culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people and families successfully navigate the Australian education system, strengthen foundational learning in subjects such as mathematics and literacy, and build clear pathways to further education, employment, and leadership.
How does the organisation support the community?
FMAES supports the community through a range of education, mentoring, and community engagement programs, including:
- Education Support Programs.
- Tutoring and Homework Support for primary and secondary school students.
- MathLearn Program, designed to strengthen foundational mathematics skills and improve problem-solving abilities.
- Academic support that helps students improve confidence, understanding, and school performance.
- Youth Mentoring and Education Pathways.
- Digital Inclusion Initiatives.
- Community Engagement.
How can people engage with them?
- Student Enrolment. Families can enrol their children in tutoring, homework support, or specialised learning programs.
- Community Partnerships. Schools, community organisations, and service providers can partner with FMAES to support multicultural students and families.
- Volunteering. Volunteers passionate about education and community development can support tutoring and mentoring programs.
- Referrals. Community organisations and schools can refer students who may benefit from additional academic support.
