Cultural Awareness Training with the Service Providers Network Nambour Community Centre
MCCGC was proud to partner with the Service Providers Network Nambour Community Centre and deliver Cultural Awareness Training. During the session, attendees explored institutional responsibility, learned how to build meaningful partnerships with community, and were encouraged to apply practical, accessible tools to ensure better client experiences and deeper practitioner understanding.
As Queensland continues to grow as an increasingly diverse state, our approaches must evolve alongside it. Our training builds the confidence and capability needed to reduce systemic inequalities, strengthen trust, and deliver culturally responsive services.
Here’s what participants had to say:
“Excellent training to improve our knowledge on how to engage with multicultural communities. As service providers, we need to know how we can take this learning back to our organisations and continue to advocate for mainstream organisations to invest in the opportunity.”
“Even as a migrant myself, this training reminded me that we can’t assume we understand what people think, feel, or need. We don’t know everything. This workshop gave us real tools on how to approach, connect with and build trust with multicultural communities in a respectful way.”
“When we work with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds, the experience is different. This training challenged my assumptions. It gave us new tools to understand true needs and communicate in a more meaningful way.”
This happened in Nambour, and now you can experience it too. Don’t miss the opportunity to join our next workshop.
